Behaviour Therapy Services for Children
AIM & AIM Explorers
AIM uses a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Applied Behaviour Analysis to teach children to be more psychological flexible. To reach our goals, a hexaflex is used which serves as a visual aid for classifying and treating client problems holistically. There are six domains of ACT; Present moment, values, commited action, self as context, defusion, and acceptance.
AIM
AIM is the outcome of the implementation of 3 evidence-based practices of intervention for children. The 3 elements of AIM are Mindfulness Training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). When fused together in a dynamic system, the results include a promising recipe of support for social and emotional problems in childhood. Social and Emotional Learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions

This program uses activities, stories, and fun characters to teach socio-emotional skills.
